Belleville, IL. (1/6/22) Packing a portion of the honored pedigree for the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League Points Champion entails an automatic entry into the Vacuworx Race of Champions held annually during Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Winning the League accolades in 2021, Bryant Weideman, of Colby Kansas, will become the youngest driver to compete in the special race during Monday’s Cummins Qualifying Night.
Chili Bowl officials have altered the scheduled fifteen drivers qualified to partake in the 14th Annual Vacuworx Race of Champions, extending the lineup by three additional entries. “We changed up the VIROC, and adjusted the qualification standards in 2020, we said then that we would adjust if we saw a need, and we are taking the opportunity to change up and add drivers that deserve to be in the Race of Champions,” explained Chili Bowl Director Matt Ward.
Additionally, 2020 NASCAR Champion Chase Elliott, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion Tim McCreadie, and the five-time Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Winner Sammy Swindell have been added to the already stacked with talent entry-list.

The starting lineup for Monday Cummins Qualifying Night’s 14th Annual Vacuworx Invitations Race Of Champions will be set by group qualifying after drivers draw for their qualifying position in groups of three-to-four. Drivers will get a pair of warmup laps, then three green flag las to set their best time. The top-eight fastest drivers will be inverted with the ninth fastest on back lined straight-up based on times. The VIROC feature event will be twenty-five laps of intense competition.
