(4/16/22) Gaining traction into the division’s first season of a National Points Championship, the POWRi Lightning Sprints has seen opening action across the country in the four premier series of the Midwest, Minn-Kota, Rocky Mountain, and Southwest as racing date start to fill the schedule.
Action from the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints would find I-35 Speedway in Winston Missouri starting their yearly racing agenda on Saturday, April 16 with nine entries checking into the event. Chaisty Younger would earn the heat racing win with defending point-champion Chase Fischer driving his way to earning his eleventh POWRi MLS feature win.

Members competing will earn points based on a sliding scale system, as 15-entries are considered a full field and receive full points, with the best fifteen performances throughout the March 1st to October 31st season judged in the yearly points chase. The highest points earner from the season will gain the honor as the Inaugural POWRi Lightning Sprint National Points Champion presented by Henchcraft Chassis Canada.
