Entering a stout field of twenty-four competitors in the POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool with early action at Macon Speedway would find Daryn Stark start the night off strong by setting the quickest hot-lap time of 10.393-second lap with Chad Elliott, Jeremy Camp, and Colton Key each winning their respective heat race as Key earned the high point qualifier award.
Jumping out to a commanding lead early, Jeremy Camp would appear to be the fastest of the field while leading the first fifteen rotations around the technical Macon track as seventh-starting TJ Smith mounted a late-race charge to the front.
Flying around the outside, TJ Smith would emerge victorious after a flurry of action-packed micro laps with one-time leader Jeremy Camp continuing an outstanding runner-up finishing effort as Cole Schroeder hard-charged his way past eleven other drivers to place third.
“We’ve been out on the road for a while now making the win that much better, especially redeeming ourselves after last night’s showing,” said the Fresno California wheelman TJ Smith in the Macon Speedway winner’s circle.
Racing among the front-runners all event, Chad Elliott would finish fourth as perennial powerhouse Joe B Miller rounded out the top-five finishers at Macon Speedway with the POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool in support of the Ninth Annual POWRi Illinois SPEEDWeek Night Four.
