Belleville, IL. (9/11/22) Caleb Stelzig would reign supreme over the weekend to capture a pair of victories at Aztec Speedway with the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association in a great showing of speed to earn his fifth and sixth wins of the year.
Visiting the Aztec Speedway, the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association would witness early heat racing wins Friday by Colt Treharn, Troy Treharn, and Travis Oldfield as Troy Treharn would earn the event high-point honors and start from the pole position in the first twenty-five lap feature of the weekend.
Green-flag Saturday feature racing would find the second-starting Caleb Stelzig take the front of the field to notch career win number seven while holding off all hard-fought efforts of runner-up and tenth-starting Caleb Saiz. Sixth-starting Colt Treharn raced his way to complete the podium in the feature event with Troy Treharn finishing fourth as Michael Fanelli rounded out the top-five finishers for the POWRi NMMRA at Aztec Speedway on Friday Night.
Returning for a fresh night of competition on Saturday would see JR Bonesteel and Colt Treharn all earn heat racing wins with Caleb Saiz earning the event high-point honors to start from the pole position in the final weekend feature.
Showing speed on Sunday, seventh-starting Stelzig would not be denied in clean seeping the weekend wins by clinching his eighth career series victory with Saiz placing in a close runner-up battle as Colt Treharn stayed in the hunt for the front all event to finish third.
Tenth-starting Spencer Hill would place fourth as eighth-starting Michael Fanelli rounded out the top-five finishers to wrap up the weekend at Aztec Speedway for the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association On Saturday Night.
