Belleville, IL. (4/3/23) Routing the previous season in dominating fashion, the POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association will witness a continuation in the pursuit of perfection as defending champion and Peoria Illinois wheelman Mark McMahill returns for a possible three-peat championship title.
Completing a perfect six-for-six run of IMRA feature victories in 2022, seven consecutive wins dating to 2021, Mark McMahill claimed his second straight USAC IMRA championship last season by leading 97 of the possible 110 feature event laps. Shane Morgan would place runner-up as Jake Sollenberger rounded out the series championship podium placements.
Entering into the 2023 racing season will see Mark McMahill compete in familiar Ron & Mark McMahill-owned McMahill & Sons Construction, Marigold Motors, MB Automotive, Reeser Lawn Care & Landscaping, Robertson Auto Parts, Chuck’s Towing & Recovery, Rocket Ax Throwing, Titan Industries, Engler Machine & Tool, D&N Autobody, Spike Chassis #57 into POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association competition with prospects of a three-peat championship in the sights.
