Belleville, IL. (5/7/23) Sandia Speedway would host the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association as Caleb Stelzig would continue his dominance throughout the region to claim his thirteenth feature win over the past three seasons.
Flying onto Sandia Speedway for night three of the 2023 season would find Caleb Stelzig and Travis Oldfield earning the heat race win with perennial powerhouse Stelzig pocketing the event high-point qualifier honor.
Going green with Caleb Stelzig on the inside and Travis Oldfield on the outside of the front row, defending champions Stelzig would not be denied his third series win of the season by notching his thirteenth career series victory. Third-starting Spencer Hill would race a close runner-up battle as fourth-starting Rob Marfia stayed within reach the entire event to finish third.
Fifth-starting and notable open-wheel advocate JR Bonesteel would place fourth as Don Grable hard-charged his way from ninth to round out the top-five finishers for the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association at Sandia Speedway on Saturday.
