Belleville, IL. (5/16/2023) Anticipation mounts as committed registrations entering into the second weekend of competition grows for the POWRi 410 Bandit Outlaw Sprint Series with visits to Lee County Speedway on Friday, May 19th followed by a trip to Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, May 20th.
Winning last year's debut at Lee County Speedway in style, Austin McCarl aims to double-down on POWRi 410 BOSS victories as league racing action returns to his home state of Iowa. Austin would route the previous visit after gaining the event’s high point qualifier award to start on the pole and lead every lap on his way to claiming the inaugural POWRi League victory.
Patriarch of professionalism in the Hawkeye State, Terry McCarl has also added his name to the front-running mix for the Lee County Speedway approaching appearance after previously gaining a heat race victory and a solid sixth-place finish in the feature.
Show-Me-State super-speedster, Brian Brown has also joined the feature victory column during the series' inaugural campaign of 2022, earning his first career POWRi League win at Missouri State Fair Speedway in August. Brown would earn the events pole position, overtaking for the lead with less than ten laps remaining to earn the checkers.
POWRi 410 BOSS will return to Lee County Speedway on Friday, May 19th; classes scheduled to compete at Donnellson Iowa also include IMCA Late Models, IMCA Stock Cars, and IMCA Northern SportMods.
Lake Ozark Speedway will welcome the POWRi 410 Bandit Outlaw Sprint Series on Saturday, May 20th in the Spring Spectacular; POWRi-sanctioned classes to also compete will include Super Stock, Pure Stock, and Hornet divisions.
