Belleville, IL. (8/21/23) Returning to regular weekly regional competitions after the highly successful POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals hosted by the Minn-Kota Series, the POWRi Lightning Sprint Division would continue racing gatherings at a trio of regions completing the weekend events as entrants chase points throughout the five events in continually developing the National Championship picture.
Feature winners over the weekend would include Colorado journeyman Josiah King earning his third career feature victory racing at Electric City Speedway in the Midwest on Friday as well as Stanely Kreisel winning on Saturday at the series home facility of Central Missouri Speedway to claim his sixteenth career series victory. Battling in the north, Minn-Kota would witness a duo night of action with Alex Truscinski attaining career win number thirty-one at Greenbush Race Park on Saturday as Mathew Taves would visit victory lane to earn his second career victory at Buffalo River on Sunday. Western racing would be canceled due to the impending Hurricane Hillary in the Southwest region at Perris Auto Speedway.
