Belleville, IL. (8/23/23) With the safety of drivers, teams, staff, and race fans in mind, the Midwest Dirt Nationals at the Paducah International Raceway scheduled for August 25 & 26, has been canceled for this weekend. With temperatures forecasted to be over 90 degrees for over 8 hours straight each day, and heat indexes expected to reach 115 degrees, track and series officials have come to the agreement that it is not in the best interest to attempt to put on an event of this stature in these elements. An excessive heat warning currently remains in effect for the area through Friday night. The MARS Championship Tours and the POWRi 410 Bandit Outlaw Sprint Series look forward to visiting the speedway in 2024.
Next up for the POWRi 410 Bandit Outlaw Sprint Series will be a return to the home facility of Lake Ozark Speedway to headline the two-day Triple Sprint Showdown also including the POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League as well as the POWRi 305 Sprint Series for an all open-wheel weekend on September 2-3.
