Jeff Helms and Derrick Black Victorious with POWRi DMSS Double-Dose Weekend

Belleville, IL. (7/28/24) Resuming racing at the outstanding hosting venues of Legacy Speedway and Sandia Speedway for a double driving of weekend racing fulfillment, the POWRi Desert Micro Series would display dedicated driving talents in the eleventh and twelfth seasonal events as Jeff Helms and Derrick Black would seal the feature weekend victories.

Kickstarting the first night of racing excitement with eager entries at Legacy Speedway with the POWRi Desert Micro Sprint Series would witness Jerry Campbell and Derrick Black each notch the heat racing wins while Kasen Stringfellow would earn the high point qualifier award for the event.

Going green flag racing in the feature would find Jeff Helms wheel their way to victory after starting second to win his first series victory. Fifth-starting Jeff Brumfield III would finish runner-up with Derrick Black placing third as Kasen Stringfellow finished fourth and Jeff Brumfield Jr rounding out the top-five finishers on night one on the weekend while at Legacy Speedway.

Revitalizing the second night of racing excitement at Sandia Speedway with the POWRi Desert Micro Sprint Series would find Jeff Brumfield III and Joseph Johnson each notch the heat racing wins while Jeff Brumfield III would earn the high point qualifier award for the event.

Progressing into green flag feature racing would find Derrick Black wheel their way to victory after starting fifth to win his fifth series victory. Pole-starting Jeff Brumfield III would finish runner-up with Jeff Helms placing third as Esteban Gonzales advanced a pair of positions to finish fourth as well as Joseph Johnson rounding out the top-five finishers at Sandia Speedway on Night Two of the weekend rush.
