Belleville, IL. (9/1/24) Returning for the fifth weekend of 2024 racing action with a double-dose of on-track excitement at Vado Speedway Park as the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series would witness Kyle McCutcheon and JT Imperial each victorious over the two-day 360 Wing-Sprint competitions in Vado, New Mexico.
Starting the weekend at Vado Speedway Park on Friday with twenty-eight entries would find Royal Jones, Lorne Wofford, Aydan Saunders, and Derek DeMartino each notch heat racing wins with Dylan Harris gaining the semi-feature event checkers.
Using patience and precision, Kyle McCutcheon would out-maneuver the pack to clinch the top spot from starting sixth to notch his first career POWRi Desert Wing Sprint feature victory as tenth-starting Thomas Meseraull would hard charge through the field to finish runner-up with Caleb Saiz placing third from starting fifth.
Second-starting Aydan Saunders placed fourth with twelfth-starting JT Imperial rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series on Night One at Vado Speedway Park.
Proceeding into the second straight night of racing on Saturday of the POWRi DWSS would witness Dylan Harris, Thomas Meseraull, JT Imperial, and Caleb Saiz each winning heat races with Derek DeMartino taking the semi-feature event checkers.
Flying into the second night of feature action with twenty-eight entries would witness JT Imperial grab the lead for ten laps and wheel his way out front of the field and notch his second career POWRi DWSS feature victory with night one winner and leader of one lap Kyle McCutcheon finishing runner-up as Jesse Baker finalized the podium placements.
Contending up front while leading fourteen laps, Aydan Saunders would finish fourth with Dylan Harris rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series Night Two of the Weekend double-header at Vado Speedway Park.
