KOKOMO, IN (October 6, 2018) - A gloomy cast of clouds brought along a torrential downpour of rain around 5:00 PM to Kokomo Speedway tonight. The sudden storm proved costly as officials made the call to postpone the #GYATKExtravaganza to tomorrow's slot, Sunday, October 6th. For those in attendance, hold on to your wristbands for use in tomorrow's event.
An incredible field of 44 WAR Wildcard Sprints had drawn in prior to the rain, already kicking off the debut of WAR in Indiana with a bang. The likes of Cummins, Courtney, Windom, Grant, McDougal, Thomas and a fleet of other challengers were all in the pit area and ready to contend with WAR regulars, Simon, Clouser, Helt, Leer and Nicholson.
The Bernie Stuebgen/Scott Ronk promoted event will carry on as planned with a rain date of tomorrow, Sunday, October 6th. A final decision on whether the race is ran or not will be made at 12:00 PM tomorrow to give teams a heads up.
The race will still be broadcasted LIVE on www.SpeedShiftTV.com for $24.95 with the WAR Wildcard Sprints and All-Star Circuit of Champions featured on the broadcast.
Kyle Cummins still has his shot at a $20,000 payday as the third and final date of the Bell Racing USA Triple Crown Challenge moves to tomorrow's race at Kokomo.
