BELLEVILLE, ILL. (August 14, 2019) – Teaming with a powerhouse organization in Tucker-Boat Motorsports, 19-year old Robert Dalby of Anaheim, Calif. has a potentially career-defining weekend ahead of him. The west coast sensation will board a plane and head for Illinois, as he plans to tackle a POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League tripleheader at joints such as Fairbury, Lincoln and Macon.
Currently slotted fifth in POWRi Lucas Oil BCRA Dirt Midget points, Dalby has been rising through the regional ranks and slowly but surely surfacing to the national level for over a year now. In January, he broke through in massive fashion, charging from the C-Main to the B-Main to the A-Main, qualifying for his first-career Chili Bowl Midget Nationals main event in the family-owned entry. It was there at the Chili Bowl following his shining moment that Dalby and Boat agreed on this partnership that finally comes to fruition this weekend.
“I have been looking forward to these three races all year long,” noted Dalby. “Tucker-Boat Motorsports is a team that is contending for wins night-in and night-out, so to have the opportunity to drive them is definitely special. I’m excited to work with them this weekend, hopefully we can put ourselves in good positions each night to come out with some solid results.”
Coming into this weekend, Dalby has actually visited two of the three tracks on the slate. He made his POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League debut back in June of 2017, instantly running out of the gates with a top ten finish at Macon Speedway, where he’ll find himself this Saturday, August 17.
Scheduled for a trip to Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Ill. on Friday, August 16, Dalby will again find familiar territory as he hones previous experience from an 18th-place result during that 2017 Speedweek. However, when the weekend begins on Thursday, August 15, Dalby will encounter an all-new track, as he faces Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Ill. for the first time.
For fans unable to attend, Speed Shift TV will be offering a LIVE pay-per-view broadcast of all three nights. The $40/Month VIP subscription will grant you access to each race, but single-race packages are also available for purchase at www.speedshifttv.com.
On Thursday at Fairbury, gates will open at 2:00pm with hot laps scheduled for 6:00pm and racing to follow at 7:00pm. General admission is $20 for adults, kids 12 & under are FREE, and pit passes are $30.
On Friday at Lincoln, the pits will open at 3:00pm along with the grandstands opening at 5:00pm followed by hot laps at 6:00pm and racing at 7:00pm.
On Saturday at Macon, the pits will open at 3:00pm along with the grandstands opening at 5:00pm followed by hot laps at 6:00pm and racing at 7:00pm.
