Belleville, IL. (3/6/2020) Entering into their second full season of POWRi sanctioning competition, the Midwest Lightning Sprints is excited to roll into their 2020 agenda, with a full season of twenty events at six venues throughout Missouri.
Sticking with the traditions of over thirty years of Kansas City area racing the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints will continue to call I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri their home track, hosting eleven electrifying events in 2020, ranging from the MLS Opener on April 18th to the Season Championship feature finale on September 26th.
With various single race visits to Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri (July 11th), Nevada Speedway in Nevada, Missouri (August 1st), and Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, Missouri (September 6th) the Midwest Lightning Sprints will see abundant racing throughout the “Show-Me State” summer months.
As part of the POWRi Racing League organization, POWRi provides a point fund for each division, offering competitors enhanced opportunities to grow within their respective league and series. Also, the Midwest Lightning Sprints will be offered to participate in a national championship pursuit. Held in Belleville Illinois at Belle-Clair Speedway May 22nd-23rd, the 2nd Annual POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals will offer the chance for each series to be represented as drivers chase the prestigious prize of winning a national title.
