Belleville, IL. (05/28/2020) With ongoing restrictions in the state of Illinois, POWRi and track officials have postponed the Illinois SPEED WEEK with rescheduling dates to soon follow. Securing a venue to continue the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget League season, competitors will now travel to the Lake of the Ozarks for a thrilling two-day event.
Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th Lake Ozark Speedway will host the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget Leagues for door-to-door battling at “The Lake”. Setting the stage for an outstanding weekend of racing the ASCS Warrior Region will see feature action scheduled for a Friday night visit as all regular great classes including the growing class of POWRi Racesaver 305 Sprints will see the competition green on Saturday’s program. Racing action will be available all night to subscribers, streaming live only on POWRi.TV for fans unable to attend.
Illinois SPEED WEEK was originally scheduled between June, 10th and June, 14th with visits to Belle-Clair Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, Jacksonville Speedway, Macon Speedway, and Fayette County Speedway; this POWRi staple will be rescheduled as soon as restrictions are lifted and dates become available.
POWRi officials encourage drivers and teams to ease the strain of pre-entry congestion by utilizing the online features for the POWRi Membership forms available at www.powri.com under the membership tab.
