Hays, KS (July 6, 2020) Drivers in the POWRi Lucas Oil United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing are busy gearing up for 12th Annual Wheat-Shocker Nationals at Rolling Plains Motor Speedway in Hays, Kansas on July 11th and 12th.
The Wheat-Shocker Nationals at RPM Speedway remains a long-standing staple on the POWRi URSS schedule since 2008, many years continuing as the highest paying race to win in 305 sprint competition as well as serving as a sort of proving grounds for many open-wheel talents on the rise.
Additionally scheduled for competition on Saturday, July 11th with the POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series will be the IMCA Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, and Sport Compacts. General admission is $5 for ages 6 and up, children ages 5 & under will receive free general admission.
For the main event of the Wheat-Shocker Nationals on Sunday, July 12th the POWRi Lucas Oil United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing feature winner will net an outstanding $2,000 payday. Sunday’s portion of the event will pay competitors $200 to start, also attendance for racing action will be the IMCA Modifieds and Stock Cars. General admission is $5 for ages 6 and up, kids 5 & under are free.
On both Saturday and Sunday, Rolling Plains Motor Speedway’s pit-gates will open at 4 PM with hot laps slated to begin shortly after 6 PM, with green flag racing action to follow each night. Live audio of racing will be available via RacinBoys.com for fans unable to make it to this top 305 sprint event.
