Belleville, IL. (07/24/2020) Newly remodeled and ready for racing, I-70 Motorsports Park, in Odessa, Missouri, will host the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series on September 11th and 12th for a Double Header event. Adding to the racing excitement, the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League will see the top points earners face off at the rebuilt historical facility for both nights of feature action.
As a support class to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for two days at the revamped Odessa Missouri Raceway, The POWRi Lucas Oil Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League will be limited to a field of twenty-four competitors. Showcasing three eight-lap heats with all drivers transferring into the Feature event, lineups based on the POWRi passing points system.
Teams receiving invitations to compete at I-70 Motorsports Park on Saturday, September 11th, and Sunday, September 12th will be based on the current 2020 points standings. POWRi officials will be reaching out to drivers to confirm entry. Once twenty-four competitors have committed, entries will be revealed through social media and upcoming press releases.
Two nights means double the fun, for thousands of tickets that were sold for the Grand Opening originally scheduled for May 30th, those ticket holders will automatically have tickets for Saturday, September 12th. Friday tickets will be sold separately through the World of Outlaws website. Saturday tickets will be available on the site as well, for fans who haven’t purchased yet. Camping will be available for the weekend from 10 AM Friday – 12 PM (noon) Sunday for a cost of $45. The camping spots will be 20×40 grass spots and no hookups will be available. Camping spots can be purchased at the facility on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 10 AM on Friday, September 11th.
