Belleville, IL. (08/10/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints would take part in a doubleheader this past weekend at El Paso County Raceway. With nineteen cars registering for racing on Friday and twenty-three drivers competing in Saturday’s action, the weekend had a lot of the regional lighting sprint stars including two drivers from Southern California.
El Paso County Raceway’s Night one with the POWRi RMLS’s would witness #24B Johnny Boos add another tally to the win column by picking up his fifth feature victory this year. Racing hard throughout the feature would see #26 Chris Crowder and #2 James Turnball rounding out the podium.

Night number two at El Paso County Raceway the POWRi RMLS’s would have a new winner this season as #21 BJ Sauer held off all other competitors. For the second night in a row #26 Chris Crowder would be so close finishing in the runner up position as#86 Jenn Woods rounded out the podium.

Next Saturday the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints will be back in action to take on the fast lap-times of I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, Colorado. This time around feature racing will more intense and throttle controlled as racing action will be held without the wings on. Come on out to the always smooth fast quarter mile and see some great racing with Pit-Gates opening at 2:00 PM, Grandstands open at 3:30 PM with Hot-Laps starting at 5:00 PM racing to follow.
