Belleville, IL. (09/23/2020) The New Berlin, IL. native Jake Neuman is looking to earn his first ever POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League Championship. On the 2020 race season, Neuman has one win, seven top five, and fourteen top ten finishes.
With only six races left on the year, Neuman sits exactly 500 points ahead of the second-place runner, Zach Daum. Daum is no stranger to the POWRi Lucas Oil National Championship stage, as he has three POWRi National Midget Championships under his belt. The points championship is going to continue to heat up with a back-to-back show October 2&3 at Tri City Speedway in Granite City, IL. Neuman sits ahead with 3910 points, Daum sits back 500 points from Neuman and Ace McCarthy from Tahlequah, OK. is only 10 points behind Daum.
Neuman scored victory this year with a dominating performance at the Mighty Macon Speedway in Macon, IL. for the POWRi SPEED-Weekend. As the 2020 race season has been cut short due to the current situations in the world. POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League has still been able to have 17 races with 6 more on the schedule. There is plenty of time for something dramatic to happen in the points battle for the 2020 season, but Neuman is looking to capitalize overall.
