Belleville, IL. (10/01/2020) As the weekend is getting closer, the new event added to the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League Schedule has created a rise we all have anticipated. This weekend consists of a two day show at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL. for the Gold Crown Midget Nationals October 2&3.
RMS Racing is planning to have their two cars in attendance for this coming race weekend. Thomas Meseraull will be behind the wheel in the #7X and Clinton Boyles will be in the #98. Thomas Meseraull of San Jose, CA. often known as TMEZ has had a successful racing career in both the dirt and asphalt side of racing. Teammate Clinton Boyles is also no stranger to the sprint car side of the world, and now stepping into the midgets, he has had a successful first year full time midget racing.
Boyles the Greenwood, MO. native will be in attendance for both nights at the Gold Crown Nationals. He will be behind the wheel of the #98 RMS Racing Midget and is no stranger to either of the POWRi Leagues. Boyles was the 2016 POWRi WAR Sprint Car Champion, and this year he joined Dave Estep and conquered a full season of Midget racing. Boyles has also joined a full time USAC Sprint Car team for the remainder of the 2020 season. Boyles has come so close to his first POWRi National Midget League victory but came up a few laps short at Jacksonville Speedway. His best Career finish with the POWRi Midgets is a third-place finish at Jacksonville Speedway. In four starts Boyles has one top five finish and two top ten.
Meseraull is one to keep your eyes on this weekend, he has had a successful year joining the RMS Racing Midget team this year. Although the stats don’t show the speed, he has been battling up front all season in his RMS Racing Toyota #7X. In six starts this season, TMez has three top five finishes and three top ten.
