Belleville, IL. (10/12/2020) The Norman, OK. native, Christopher Bell will be in attendance for the Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner-State 55 this coming weekend Thursday, October 15th at Port City Raceway. Bell will be aiming at the top prize of $5,555 while enduring 55 laps around the bullring.
Looking back at the history books, the last time the well-known Oklahoma native joined the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League was back in June of 2019. Of course, in no other fashion, Bell took the Tucker-Boat Motorsports, Pristine Auction, Spike/Toyota No. 84 to victory lane at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL. Port City Raceway is what Bell considers to be his home track, and where it all started. His last visit to the historic raceway dates back to March 2019. Jonathan Beason and Bell fought wire to wire and the end resulted in a wild finish with Beason winning by a hair.
Bell now resides in the top series in NASCAR but got his start in the midgets with none other than the Keith Kunz-Curb Agajanian Motorsports team. After many victorious years, Bell teamed up with Tucker-Boat Motorsports in 2019 and added win #29 to his belt with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. Being full time in the NASCAR series occupies a lot of his time, but in his free time Bell will come back to his roots and hop back behind the wheel in a sprint car or midget.
Catch Christopher Bell and move POWRi Midget drivers in action this coming Thursday, October 15th at Port City Raceway. Alongside the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget league and the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League, the POWRi Engler Machine and Tool Outlaw 600cc Micros will also be in attendance.
