Belleville, IL. (02/22/2021) Expanding the number of POWRi National Lightning Sprint Events in 2021 will see competitors from all over make the long trek to the north for the inaugural POWRi MKLS Summer Shootout from August 12th through August 15th.
Locked and loaded with visits to four fantastic venues, spanning Minnesota and North Dakota, with four nights of action-packed Lightning Sprint racing hosted by the POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint Series. “We’re all really excited about this huge event for the lightning sprint racing community,” said MKLS Series Director Jason Berg. Adding, “We are seeing continued growth and interest in our series, add in the talents from all over the country and I think this event will be even bigger in the future.”
Norman County Raceway, in Ada Minnesota, will kick off the inaugural POWRi MKLS Summer Shootout on Thursday, August 12th with a trip to “The Bullring” of River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks North Dakota on Friday, August 13th. Saturday, August 14th the MKLS Summer Shootout will travel to Greenbush Minnesota for racing at Greenbush Race Park with the final leg of the four-day tour stopping the newly re-opened and improved Buffalo River Speedway, in Glyndon Minnesota, on Sunday, August 15th.
After Friday’s event in Grand Forks, ND the party heads to the Pederson Family Shop as competitors are welcome to join the festivities provided by the Pederson Family Racing Team as well as the POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints for a Good Ol’ Fashion Pot-Luck Dinner and Bonfire.
