Belleville, IL. (05/09/2021) The 2021 racing season for the Lucas Oil POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League has come out of the gates firing on all cylinders with fast and furious features witnessing epic battles for the front. With the point’s championship tight atop the standings reaching the quarter-point throughout the year, the next event at Central Missouri Speedway on May 15th remains paramount for drivers seeking seasonal glory.
With six highly contested races complete so far in 2021, within POWRi WAR it has been the Wesley Smith show claiming half the feature wins on the season moving his career win-total to seven feature WAR victories. Gaining wins at Lake Ozark Speedway to start the season in the Non-Wing Nationals, at Lucas Oil Speedway’s Open Wheel Showdown, and again at I-70 Motorsports Park Grand Re-Opening; Smith has shown the speed needed to succeed this season when the lights shine brightest.
Even with Wesley securing a trifecta of victory lane trips in Lucas Oil POWRi WAR Sprint League racing, the competition remains stout witnessing Mario Clouser secure his sixth series win on Championship Night at Lake Ozark Speedway’s Non-Wing Nationals, Anthony Nicholson achieve his third WAR feature win at Valley Speedway, as well as most recently Wyatt Burks seeing the checkered flag first at I-70 Motorsports Park gaining his ninth career POWRi WAR win and moving him to third on the all-time wins list.
