Belleville, IL. (06/23/2021) The Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League is preparing for the one day show this weekend, Saturday, June 26th at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, OK. Teams and drivers prepare for their stand-alone show, and venture back to the famous 1/5-mile, banked clay oval for an action-packed weekend.
The POWRi West racing series has had two stand-alone races within the 2021 season thus far. Two different drivers have come out victorious, Kyle Jones in the 7U and Jonathan Beason in the 8J. Jake Neuman of New Berlin, IL. has taken a solid lead in the season standings for the Championship as well.
Emilio Hoover sits in second for the season points standings, as well as Trey Gropp, the 2020 Rookie of the Year who sits in third. Branigan Roark of Lincoln, MO currently leads 2021 Rookie of the Year standings heading into this weekend’s show at I-44 Riverside Speedway.
Classes alongside the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League will be the POWRi Non-Wing Micros, Jr Sprint Trophy Class, POWRi Junior Sprint Micros, POWRi Restricted Micrs, Turf Tire Micros, and POWRi A-Class Wing Micros.
