Belleville, IL. (07/24/2021) Visiting Lake Ozark Speedway for the third time in the 2021 racing campaign, the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints would hit the well-prepared racing surface in a fury with Chase Fischer claiming his fifth feature victory of the season.
Early track action at Lake Ozark Speedway with the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints would find Chase Fischer driving his way to earning the heat race victory as well as notching a front-row starting position for the fifteen-lap feature.
Sweeping the night’s racing action would see Fischer take the top spot on the exit of turn two on the opening lap to never relinquish the first position, claiming his eighth feature win of the past two seasons. Bobby Layne would try to run down the speedy Fischer to no avail, leaving Layne to runner-up placement as the checkers were displayed.
Young up-and-comer Trice Roden continues to impress spectators with an outstanding podium finish also earning the hard-charger award for the feature advancing a pair of positions in a daring turn-three maneuver. Chasity Younger and Jeff Bard would race wing-to-wing for several laps with Younger gaining the edge to place fourth, leaving Bard to round out the top-five POWRi MLS finishers at Lake Ozark Speedway.
