Belleville, IL. (08/02/2021) Tanner Berryhill of Bixby, OK. sits behind the wheel of the No. 17 midget for the Lucas Oil POWRi Leagues. Berryhill with intentions to run the full schedule for the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League, he has three top five and three top ten finishes thus far in the 2021 season.
The last show on the POWRi schedule was a doubleheader weekend for the series at Grain Valley Speedway and Sweet Springs Motorcomplex. Berryhill earned his career best and season best finish of second place with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League. Berryhill started the 30-lap Main Event in seventh position and overcame the tough Valley Speedway to earn his second place finish.
This coming weekend sits one of the most anticipated weekends of the year for the POWRi Midget drivers. The Iron Man 55 at Federated Auto Parts Speedway in Pevely, Mo is arguably one of the fastest tracks on the schedule for the league. Berryhill will continue his hunt for a win and step foot on the track for his first time this coming Friday and Saturday, August 6th and 7th.
Tanner Berryhill currently sits in the second position for the Season Points Championship with the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League, as well as leading Rookie of the Year Championship with the series.
