Belleville, IL. (9/19/2021) Wrapping up the season in style, the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints would travel to a trio of tracks with driving glories on the minds of lightning sprint racers across North Dakota and Minnesota. With Dexter Dvergsten winning at River Cities Speedway first, then Bryce Haugeberg victorious at Devils Lake Speedway, and capping off the season with Alex Truscinski leading every lap to win at Buffalo River Speedway.
River Cities Speedway would see Dexter Dvergsten dominate the feature event from the pole starting spot to earn his fourteenth victory of the season. Dvergsten would hold off the hard-charging efforts of Bryce Haugeberg who started ninth to finish second with Alan Truscinski third. Weston Olson and Garrison Miller would battle wing-to-wing nearly all feature long with Olson placing fourth and Miller rounding out the POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints top-five finishers. Jason Berg and Alex would each win their respective heat race.
Visiting Devils Lake Speedway for the penultimate event of the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints 2021 racing season, officials would give drivers extra laps with qualifiers races to aid in setting the feature line-ups. Bryce Haugeberg, Alex Truscinski, and Alan Truscinski would each gain heat racing victories with Haugeberg, Alex, and Dexter Dvergsten driving to qualifier victories.
Feature racing at Devils Lake Speedway with the POWRi MKLS would find the speedster Bryce Haugeberg and Alex Truscinski earning the front row and racing into a one-two battle for the lead. Haugeberg would hold off the advancement attempts of Alex to earn his third win of the series season, leaving Alex Truscinski to finish second. Dexter Dvergsten would race his way into finishing third with Alan Truscinski placing fourth and Jason Berg fifth.
Hitting the track for the 40-Lap Mania in the final event of the 2021 Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints season, the series would travel to familiar racing grounds of Buffalo River Speedway with Travis Surerus and Alex Truscinski winning their heat races.
Green flag racing for the final points night of the year, POWRi MKLS drivers would all be eager to tackle the tricky track with Alex Truscinski gaining the early feature edge. Leading every lap of the longer feature event, Alex Truscinski would hold off the late-race surge of runner-up finisher Dexter Dvergsten with Alan Truscinski close behind placing third. Jason Berg would charge to finish fourth from starting seventh with the speedy Travis Surerus rounding out the POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints top-five finishers at Buffalo River Speedway.
