Chris served for the United States Marine Corp for 4yrs and was honorably discharged in August of 1997. His passion had always been racing. In 2005 he bought his 1st 600cc upright Minisprint and competed with Rocky Mountain MiniSprint Association (RMMSA). In 2011 Chris moved up to 1000cc Lightning Sprints and won his first race in Olathe, CO. at the Open Wheel Nats. 2012 would yield three wins a Rookie of the Year honor and a Colorado 1200 Outlaw Championship. From 2014-2015 Chris would try his skills at a Racesaver 305 Sprint Car. One win, and multiple top 5s later, he decided to focus more on his Logistics company and took the 2016 season off. With a stable business in place Chris has decided to return back to racing and back to where it all began (Lightning Sprints). With a strong backing from Accelerating Services’s Transport, Diablo Fabrication Chassis’s, he has become the 2018, and 2020, points Champion of the POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints (RMLSA) and the POWRi South West Lightning Sprints Champion (SWLS). In 2021 Chris won the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals beating 44 of the best Lightning Sprint drivers in the country. “We look forward to continuing our relationships with our great partners and pursuing another successful 2021season.” ~Chris Crowder
